The brain (& heart) behind Powerplay

Claire Sabatine is a dynamic actor and educator with a unique perspective shaped by her dual background in business and performance. With over a decade of experience, Claire has skillfully combined her acting expertise with innovative communication techniques to empower individuals and teams across various industries.

Her journey began receiving a business degree from Pitt while simultaneously training as an actor both in Pittsburgh and NYC, where she discovered firsthand how performance skills can transcend traditional boundaries and enhance professional and personal development. This insight led her to integrate her diverse skills into her work, demonstrating how the principles of performance impact all fields.

Claire has served as a teaching artist and coach for various organizations, schools, corporations and law firms nationwide. She is an Instructor at the University of Pittsburgh Department of Theatre Arts where she nurtures students' skills regardless of their major, inspiring them to explore new dimensions of their abilities.

Her accomplishments also include her work as a pioneer in the sensory theatre field, working as both an executive producer and artist to create original touring productions designed for people with developmental disabilities, which received recognition from the NY Times and Lincoln Center Education.

Claire’s approach to facilitation emphasizes impactful hands-on learning, connection and empowerment. Special thanks to her pit lab mix named Schenley, Frick Park walks, whiskey cocktails, iced lattes and her MLB stadium national tour checklist.
